Hello and Welcome to Cloud Nine Expressions! My name is Leigh and I am the owner of this fun, festive and fabulous boutique. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always had a love for being creative, specifically with paper. As a child, I would make my own cards and then go around the neighborhood selling them and then I would donate the money to Children's Hospital of Washington DC. I also have always had a passion for unique and personalized gift items. It was always hard to find items with my name on it, because my name is unique. As an elementary school teacher, I was able to use my creativity in my classroom, but I knew once I had children, I wanted to stay at home with them. I have always known in the back of my mind, that I wanted to have a store one day, selling unique and personalized paper products and gifts. With the support of my loving husband, my dream, Cloud Nine Expressions Stationery, was born in 2002, a few months before our first daughter was born. I quickly learned that having a baby and running a home-based boutique is not the easiest thing to do, but I never gave up. (Ok...I am not going to lie...lots of chai tea, some wine and a few martinis...not all at the same time of course, have helped me along the way!) Soon after Lauren was born, I added Cloud Nine Cuddlers, my hand-made baby gift line. In 2006, our second daughter Sarah was born. My girls and my husband are my inspiration for staying creative and keeping my dream alive. (Of course those drinks still help as well!) Over the next year, I plan to add a line of unique "girly" gifts to my boutique and I will also be adding new hand made items such as a custom line of stationery and party favors!
